A recurring event at WeisAcres, the Young Choreographers Showcase offers a unique opportunity for emerging choreographers to present in-progress work and ideas in an intimate setting. This season, Sundays on Broadway presents Miriam Gabriel & Carlo Antonio Villanueva and Gabrielle Revlock.

All Sundays on Broadway events begin at 6:00 pm. Doors open at 5:45 pm at WeisAcres. Keep in mind, this is a small space. Please arrive on time out of courtesy to the artists.

Sundays on Broadway events are free and open to the public.

Artists' Bios:

Miriam (Mimi) Gabriel & Carlo Antonio Villanueva will present their newest collaboration, a work in progress. They have shared previous work at Open Performance at Eden’s Expressway, Movement Research at Judson Church, FAB+AUNTS at the WOW Café Theatre, and Dances by Dancers of the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company 2016. Mimi and Carlo have worked during residencies at the Center for Dance, Movement and Somatic Learning at Stony Brook University, coLAB Arts Residency at Lustig Dance Studios, and the NYU Tisch Dance Residency Festival. Mimi currently works with GREYZONE and Madelyn Kent; and Carlo performs with the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company.

Gabrielle Revlock will present The Dance Apocalypse/Fundraiser. Revlock is known for her signature work with the hoop and her “inventive”, “rambunctious”, and “mesmerizing” choreography. Her work has been presented by American Dance Festival, New York Live Arts, Omi International Arts Center, FringeArts, JACK, Joe’s Pub, Joyce SoHo, The Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts and in Russia, Japan, Netherlands, Hungary and across the USA. She was a 2015 Independence Foundation Fellow, 2013 Fresh Tracks Resident, 2012 LAB Fellow through FringeArts and is a 2016 Chez Bushwick AIR.  She has performed for Lucinda Childs, Susan Rethorst and is a dancer with Jane Comfort and Company.
